I have been trying to see how I was going to do a post on natural
beauty on this blog for a while and this is the post I have decided to
go with. I think that people should love themselves naked. There are so
many of us who are uncomfortable in our own skin and cannot look at
ourselves naked and that is a problem. We should understand that our
bodies are unique and beautiful how the creator made it and those who
understand that are really in tune with themselves. You should not be
ashamed or embarrassed by your body and if there are any health concerns
go see a doctor. But for this post I am asking the question why is
nudity trending right now? What is going on with us that so many people
are so comfy going there?
So there are plenty of celebrities who are going naked for different
reasons. Recently Radio Host and TV Personality, Wendy Williams went
nude for PETA’s Id Rather Go Naked Campaign. Rihanna is always naked or
topless in the media. She was pictured on magazine covers nude, she is
topless on her latest album cover and most recently she tweeted pics of
herself bottomless. Singer, Ciara went naked in a magazine and more than
enough celebrities have gone naked while pregnant like Singer, Britney
Spears, Actress, Tia Mowry and a bunch of others that I don’t recall at
the moment. Some men in the limelight have gone nude on magazine covers
as well. Chad Ochocinco, Amre Stoudemire, Tim Tibo and Chris Brown has
had leaked pics of himself in the raw before as well. So many
celebrities have been seen naked in the media. Now some of the people I
mentioned went naked for PETA’s no fur campaign that gets celebrities to
say in front of the world that they rather go naked than take the fur
from an animal. I think it’s cool that they want to take a stand but why
get naked for the world to see? I am ALL for being comfortable in your
own skin but why do some people feel the need to go naked all the time? I
agree that nude is as natural as you can get well if you haven’t had a
nip and a tick here and there it can be the most natural state and I
know a people both male and female that are completely comfortable
prancing around in the nude. The guys are usually the ones that want to
strut their stuff. So what’s the deal? Is it freeing? Is it so
provocative that people just feel the need to do it? Are people trying
to prove a point? Or are we just in a time where people just don’t give a
damn? By all means be comfortable in your own skin and run free naked
if you like I’m just asking why is this a trend?

Tha Naturist Quote!
"Adam and Eve entered the world naked and unashamed—naked and
pure-minded. And no descendant of theirs has ever entered it otherwise.
All have entered it naked, unashamed, and clean in mind. They entered it
modest. They had to acquire immodesty in the soiled mind, there was no
other way to get it."
Mark Twain

The Naked People Project!
Clothing can both disguise and reveal, it can be our armour against the world and can be used against other people, it disguises our real self and it can be both liberating and self-healing to discard it and be our real selves in our own skin, warts and all!
This website project shows people both fully clothed and by holding the mouse pointer over the person, the clothes disappear to show them as they really are, human and vulnerable and natural!
Naked People Project
This is me clothed and naked, I prefer naked as I am much more comfortable clothes-free, shame-free and naturally me!

Fat and Not Afraid!
Naturism and Body Acceptance

For
a nice long while now a friend of mine has been posting up links to
stories on Facebook concerning naturism, and the more I read the more I
like it, and how beautifully it dovetails with body acceptance. From Well-Being Magazine:
When we shed our clothes, we also shed the constraints of social status that by which we are often judged. Naturists make no such judgements and simply get to know the true person within. Then of course there are the positive benefits for body image. How many people go through their lives tortured by insecurity about perceived ‘faults' with their bodies, suffering low self esteem as a result? Our blemishes, scars and ‘imperfections' are not unique, we all have them. Naturism helps us to understand this and also to realise that the human body is to be celebrated for its rich diversity, not held as an object of shame."

When you're constantly seeing different bodies, men and women's, of all ages, shapes and sizes, you'll quickly come to the realization that we're all 'flawed' and that the bodies we see so often in various media are only a very narrow representation of all the beauty and diversity that humans enjoy. By seeing older bodies we can come to learn and accept what comes to all of us who live long enough. When younger kids in naturist families see all the different bodies they gain confidence in their own body, and have a kind of mental and emotional armor against the garbage body image messages they so frequently are attacked by.
But isn't being naked sexual? Isn't being around kids while naked a crime? No and no. The naked body has long been celebrated in art and only becomes sexualized when *we* sexualize it. If it were an inherently sexual thing, men would never be allowed to walk around anywhere topless, as they so often can and do, and women (in Ontario anyway) wouldn't have won the fight to do the same.
What do you think? Is nudism something you enjoy already or something that you'd never do? Are there only certain times or places where it's OK to be naked?
Nude Winter Survival Guide!
Nudie winter survival guide
Reprinted from clothesfree.com
Now that winter is upon the northern hemisphere nudies living in the north have to figure out if they will hibernate from their nudie life or stay nude. Despite falling temps their are things that nudists can do to stay nude and warm during the cold winter months. No need to envy the folks down under. Check out the guide below.
- Buy a portable space heater. A good one can be bought for around $40 or $50 US. Place it in the room that you spend the most time in. Be sure to get a portable one so it can be moved from room to room. This avoids turning up the heat for the whole house to stay warm.
- Invest in a warm robe. When moving from room to room where there may not be heat up this will help you to stay warm.
- Get some matching toe socks or fluffy slippers. Keeping the feet warm can go along way to staying warm all over while nude in the winter time.
- Use layers of covers on the bed. Sleeping nude is one of the best aspects of nude life. The body can regulate its own temperature in most situations. Having several layers on the body thin layer first then heavier layers on top of that will allow easy adjustment of warmth to match body temperatures for comfortably sleeping nude.
- Take hot showers at night and again in the morning. Sleeping under layers of covers can make the body sweat so a morning shower cleanses as well as warms the body for the day. A nighttime shower warms up the body before sleeping and actually helps promote sleep.
- Drink warm beverages. Teas, soups and even coffee will help to warm the body from the inside out.
- Workout or exercise. A round of exercise on a treadmill, or power yoga will get the blood flowing and warm the body.
- Hang out with nudie friends who have good heat. Seriously a nudie friend who has a hot tub is even better. So call em up office to bring the wine beer or munchies. Have a nudie winter gathering, a game night or watch football or basketball games. Lots of people in the room will keep the temperature up.
- Cuddle up with someone you love. This will not only keep you warm, but it feels great too.
